Another Week

Another week, another mass shooting.

Prepare for the sidewalk to be blanketed with flowers.

Prepare for earnest strangers to express so much sorrow

for the dead …. the injured …. the bereaved.

It’s all such bullshit.

Look the injured and the bereaved in the eye and tell the truth:

we tolerate the wide circulation of guns.

Your loss is just the price we’re willing to pay.
